OUR STORY
THE LABEL
Looking Friday’s DNA is rooted in crochet—it’s personal, generational, and deeply tied to my own evolution.
I didn’t just learn crochet; I grew into it. When I moved to the U.S., I worked in a knitwear studio but lacked experience—despite my mom trying to teach me years earlier, I hadn’t cared to learn back then. I started at the bottom—sewing buttons, doing finishing work, and navigating a toxic workplace. When she lost her own job, I made a decision: I started Elite Knitting so my mom could have steady work doing what she’s incredible at.
I was in school, working full-time as a receptionist, and running to fittings between classes and lunch breaks. I built the client relationships, kept production running, and made sure every piece lived up to the highest standard. Still, I didn’t fully see myself as a business owner—or acknowledge the world-class skill I was developing.
That changed a few years ago when I was accused of being a fraud. Someone couldn’t believe what I made was done by hand. And in that moment, I realized I’d built something worth defending. I began to own my talent, admire my work, and most importantly, celebrate the community of artisans I’ve trained and now work with.
Looking Friday is where that legacy lives.
It’s shaped by my life in Texas—its climate, ease, and laid-back elegance. Every piece is designed to breathe: lightweight, wearable, and meant to move with you.
Yet it’s undeniably luxurious. Years of working with global fashion houses shaped my standards for fiber, fit, and finish. That influence is stitched into every design—from the first loop to the final detail.
But more than anything, Looking Friday tells a human story. It honors the hands behind every garment—starting with mine and my mom’s. It’s about reclaiming craft, taking pride in skill, and building a future that celebrates every person behind the scenes.

THE TEAM
We’re a small, close-knit team made up of women who support each other as much as we create together. Some of us are mothers who bring our kids to the studio when needed. Others work from home, balancing creativity with daily life. What connects us is trust, flexibility, and a genuine love for what we do.
Everyone on our team brings something special—whether it’s technical skill, fresh perspective, or quiet problem-solving behind the scenes. There’s no assembly line here—just real people who care deeply about their craft and about one another.
We’re proud to be building a label where collaboration, friendship, and flexibility are part of the process. When you wear something from Looking Friday, you’re not just supporting handmade fashion—you’re supporting a real community built on mutual respect and creativity.
